Refurbishment
Pier View was purchased in July 2007 and a full refurbishment was soon underway with the professional guidence and project management of our architect
Pier View is in a prestigious location in Southend and as such we wanted to create a beautiful guest house which would compliment its surroundings. To do this we needed to bring back the grade II listed building to its former Georgian glory whilst at the same time provide all the services and creature comforts that are expected in today's modern world.
During the refurbishment original Georgian features were uncovered such as fire places (which frequent most rooms) and beautiful ceiling cornices.
Over eight months of dedication and hard work have achieved a result that we had desired and of which we are very proud. A special thanks once again must go to Nick and his Partner Chris for their vision and hard work.
The photos show how the rooms were at the beginning of the refurbishment. Original features were uncovered such as the Georgian fire places which frequent most of the guest rooms.
